Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Join San Diego’s largest free fiesta at Balboa Park spicing up the weekend with live music, dance, food trucks, and plenty of activities for los niños. Stroll alongside mariachis and colorful horseback riders, or watch culture come to life in a fashion showcase of traditional Mexican dress. Featured performances include La Fiesta Danzantez de San Diego and crowd-favorite Jarabe Mexicano, accompanied by the SDSU School of Music Percussion Ensemble.

Julian Woman’s Club Wildflower Show
Catch the annual Wildflower show in full bloom this weekend for its 91st year. Held at the historic Julian Town Hall for free public viewing, the Julian Woman’s Club is proud to showcase some of the 855 species of botanical wealth blooming within the surrounding mountain valleys of San Diego’s East County. With floral displays offering insight into healing from the ground up, this event is more than just a splash of color!

24th Annual EastLake Cycle & 5K Run, and Technology & Innovation Fair
Power-up for an energizing event calling all cyclers, runners, and tech lovers! Registration will be open to early risers for their choice of the 25 Mile Road Bike Ride, the 18 Mile mountain bike ride, or the 5K-community walk/run. While fitness enthusiasts trail alongside lake views and scenic paths in Chula Vista’s Park District, fair-goers can explore technology and stem themes at the Technology & Innovation Fair. Hosted by the non-profit organization, EastLake Educational Foundation, this newest addition to the annual event dedicates itself to supporting technology enhancements in EastLake’s public schools.
